The Grosvenor Teacher Fellowship (GTF) is a professional development opportunity for pre-K–12 educators made possible by a partnership between Lindblad Expeditions and the National Geographic Society. An annual competitive application process is used to select educators and host them aboard Lindblad Expeditions’ voyages for a life-changing, field-based experience.
Grosvenor Teacher Fellows are an integral part of the National Geographic community, working to further students’ understanding of the planet and empower them to generate solutions for a healthier and more sustainable future. They help ensure that the next generation is armed with geographic knowledge and global awareness.
Grosvenor Teacher Fellows are required to be National Geographic Certified Educators. All applicants must complete all three Phases of the certification program by the time they submit their application.
By participating in National Geographic Educator Certification, you connect with both like-minded educators and National Geographic, gaining access to a constantly increasing suite of National Geographic programs, resources, and professional development opportunities. Many of our most exciting opportunities—like the Grosvenor Teacher Fellowship—are exclusively open to the Educator Certification community.
