About this Talk

Learn about the unfolding mystery at the center of one of the greatest discoveries of all time—the Titanic wreckage—from the ship’s discoverer, renowned oceanographer and National Geographic Explorer-at-Large Robert Ballard. It is a story straight out of the pages of a Cold War thriller that will leave you wondering what more we may discover about this legendary shipwreck.

Fox television anchor and commentator Chris Wallace will then moderate a fascinating conversation about the true story behind the 1985 discovery of the world's most famous shipwreck and what the future holds for this fragile underwater site. Panelists will include Robert Ballard, Secretary of the Navy John Lehman (Ret.), and archaeologist and former Director of Maritime Heritage for NOAA James Delgado.
